New and Twittering

So, after a long debate with myself on whether I should join twitter after my exams or if I should join it at all, I ended signing up last night. At 2:00 am. I was tired and sleepy and revising food science.

Now… What do I do next? :? I’m not particularly active on social networking sites. I am -somehwat- on facebook, but that’s about it. IMO, it’s too much effort, de?

Press F5, damn it

Number of viewsIt’s been 2 years, 1 month, 21 days and 3 hours (roughly 762 days) since the birth of this blog. And we’ve finally hit 30 000 views. I thank you, my dear viewers, fellow blaghghghers, commentors, stalkers, spammers and blurkers. Do keep refreshing the page -be it the refresh button or F5, whatever tickles and makes you sneeze- I appreciate the increasing number of views just as much as any other blogger.

30 000 in 762 days = 37.37 (4SF) views per day… Not too bad, hmmh?

What worries me, though, is all the zeros in 30 000. How long is going to take to get rid of those? I’m not just saying this because I want you to help me get rid of them -well, I am acutally- but simply because I can’t stand the number zero. It’s round and fat and oogly. So press that F5 for me, will you? ^_^

Now for the things you don’t give a shit about…

First Day @ Work

Peace people!

Today I had my first day working for Amnesty International as an street-recruiter. The job is pretty tough, seriously. The way people just ignore you, or hearing a ‘No’ several times a day is not too easy.

Haha, to be honest, it was so funny! I see it lightly, a chance to talk to totalt strangers; I finally found an excuse! to do so! Mostly guys my age or older were talkable to me. And how some flirted. Which also was hilarious considering I’d never try to find someone potential through this work, or at all, non-Muslim, haha just hilarious. But oh well, what can one do. We were on the street for an half hour only, our first training. It went so fast, considering 30 minutes just walking usually for me do not just fly by like that. I didn’t get anyone to donate but I believe tomorrow I’m more confident and am able to find that connection with the people.

When I walked in the middle of the street, I saw from far a huge mass of people just splitting in two halfs; trying to avoid me. I felt like Moses and the Red Sea.

It was a great day!

The sun was shining and we were all stressed and about to panic, haha. But it was worth it all. I felt so special having my hat on and walking down the streets, unknown people smiling at me and congratulating me! So sweet. And I got roses and presents! Why can’t I live that same day more often?

On Monday I’ll be off to Amnesty and start my training for my up-coming work. Life is treating me well, elhamdulillah.

On a peaceful afternoon, I was relaxing in my brother’s room when no one was around. My 12-year-old sister comes in and asks, “can you get pregnant naturally?

Me: What do you mean naturally?

M: Like… just naturally. I know you have to have sex…

My eyes pop at the mention of the word and I sit up straight and think *oooh, blagghing material*.

Not really… But yeah. I was a little shocked when she said the word without whispering.

M continues: … But can you not have a baby naturally? G said you could.

Me: Eh? Who said you had to have sex to have a baby?

M: Oh I learnt that you had to have sexual intercourse to have a baby when we did reproduction.

Me: Ah… I see. *pause* Sex isn’t the only way you can have a baby though. You can get surrogate mothers when a fertilised zygote is placed in your tummy. *looks up to see an extremely confused M*… Ah, nevermind. Yes you have to have sex, but you must realise that it’s something that completely natural. It’s-

M: So mum had sex?

Me: *splutters*cough*cough*laugh* I don’t think you understand what it actually is. -_- But that’s fine. *walks out of the room before any further discussion*

M: I know I’m old. But I don’t know…

*sighs*

I’ve only recently realised that I’d be utterly lost without my parents. Haha~ ^_^

And yet, I’m extremely tsundere about it. =_=”’

But here’s something that had me laughing as hard as Poo’s usual mishaps:

What do you mean that you are ugly? You mean you do not have a beard?

- The little one ^^;;;

Ahahahaha~ And I’m still in stitches. God help me. *wipes a tear*

Discussion: Gay couples adopting

2009 May 19

Before getting all serious, a little note:

I fixed our family camera. *peace-sign* Some stupid silly settings thingie was the issue and I simply made it go to the basic settings… And now it’s all OK! But we still ordered a new one. It’s better to have two than one. *grins*

Now, like you cared, to the real discussion.

People, I’m bored! Of this silent blog! The Ruler ain’t blogging for the time being and I’m pretty sure she’s the magnet to lure all of you to this blog! I hope her exams went well, geez, even the word ‘exam’ makes me get goosebumps. Thank goodness for summer, for freedom, for laziness!

I should have something very interesting to blog about, but life’s a little bit still right now.

Spring is lovely. I want to play tennis again! My friends suggested a picninc day and I might ask them to play tennis with me or badminton, either are great fun. Oh and I’ve got two birthdays coming up, two friends born on the same day. Haha, just great. Again, buying presents is not something easy for me, my mind just goes offline. And two on the same day? Difficult. One of them even has an entrance-exam just that day, she stresses like crazy, so maybe having my phone close by to call the emergancy number is just about enough done?

Oh and the reason why I too am not very active is ’cause I’ve spent way too much time on the Net. My eyes are protesting, I’m using gel-drops for dry eyes which I’ve got trouble with recently. Sigh, life is not easy, huh.
